Advanced Sales: Planning for the Future

With Explorer's Advanced Sales, your reservations staff can efficiently maintain a complex set of business rules about pricing, events, performance times, admission categories, and discounts.  For example, certain events may be available only on specific days or times, member pricing for some events may be different from pricing available to the general public, and member-only events may be defined to admit only members.  Scheduling any event requires a few simple, well-defined steps that can be done either in advance (when you know the schedule ahead of time), or on demand as needed.  The system is flexible with times, dates, capacity restrictions, instructor availability and fees.  These individualized business rules are easy to set up and intuitive to use.

Whether you're booking members or non-members, it's easy to look up patrons, make new reservations, and change existing reservations.  When selling to a member, the system will verify the membership is valid before allowing a member-priced sale to be entered.  Expired members or non-members wishing to take advantage of member pricing or member-only events, may immediately renew or become new members directly through Member Advanced Sales. Cashiers can look up past sales by date, sales type, member name, cashier, ID, or transaction number quickly and easily.   New patrons can be added and existing patrons updated directly from Sales.  In addition, if a requested performance is not yet scheduled, the reservationist may schedule it on the fly right from the Sales window and then book the patron directly into it. These are just a few of the many benefits Explorer offers that will make scheduling a quick and easy process for your museum staff.
